Resources for Fraternity & Sorority Peer Education Programs

On many campuses a GAMMA group already exists and is functioning successfully. For those particular groups the new GAMMA Guide will serve as a supplement to your group's current framework and will hopefully provide helpful information as well as quality programming ideas. It is designed to allow each group to use the manual to make their group even better than it already is. On the other hand, those campuses without functioning GAMMA groups will be able to use this manual and resources to get their group up and running. It will provide everything you need to make the beginning of a well-run peer education group for fraternity and sorority students on your campus.

We have put this manual and resources together to focus and offer programming support for four major risk management and harm reduction issues: alcohol abuse, impaired driving, sexual assault and sexual health. This manual includes sections on:

In addition, throughout the manual, you will see highlight boxes that talk about our survey results of current GAMMA affiliates. These general trends might help set your direction as you develop your plan for the year. Feel free to use anything you find helpful in this manual, our materials catalogs, or in the other resources we have provided as well as resources on our website. As always, The BACCHUS Network™ stands ready to help in any way we can to make your education initiative a success.
